Reinhilde Bovend'aerde studied at the Lemmensinstituut in Leuven under Dina Grossberger, Dirk Snellings and Werner Van Mechelen. She attended several master classes given by renowned teachers and performers. She sings solo roles under the baton of conductors such as Ryo Terakado, Hermann Max, Paul Dombrecht, Julius Stenzel, Jacques Vanherentals, Hans Leenders and Jos van Veldhoven.

With the "Nederlandse Bachvereniging" solo ensemble under the direction of Jos van Veldhoven she started at the Amsterdam Concertgebouw with a programme that focused on the cantatas of Bach and Buxtehude. She is a member of the professional chamber choir "Studium Chorale"under the direction of Hans Leenders.

Her fascination for the organ and her particular interest in the repertory for the voice accompanied by the organ are the fruit of her collaboration with wellknown organists such as Cor Ardesch, Xavier Deprez, Bart Jacobs, Marcel Verheggen, Remy Syrier, Jozef Sluys, Ton Reijnaerdts, and others. She is regularly requested by Chevalier Jozef Sluys to sing at the Brussels cathedral, including ceremonies for the royal family.

For her Lieder recitals she has worked with her favorite pianist and composer Willy Appermont. This fruitful cooperation saw the launch of two CD’s: "The Joy of Christmas" (2010) and "The Joy of Spring" (2014).

She teaches at : Academie voor Muziek, Woord en Dans at Sint-Pieters- Woluwe and Koninklijk Conservatorium Brussel.
